CPR Certified and Registration

It has been one long week. We had a beautiful Mother's Day Tea at school for all the mom's. It was terrific. We served tea and cookies to the mom's and children.

Then for the last 3 days I have been screening the in-coming kindergartners. They seem like a great group.

Tonight, I was re-certified in CPR/AED/First Aid training.

Tomorrow is going to be interesting as well... we have our pm kindergarten class trip to Crayola Factory. I am looking forward to a nice calm/ quiet weekend with the kids.

Tonight I am grateful for...
sleep
weekends
time with my kids
scrappin
knowledge of CPR
using my knowledge to help 2 students and my daughter (who used to choke all the time)
joking around with Becky
jewelry (it arrived today) Whoo hoo!

It's beginning to look like a house

View from the drivewayAs you pull up, this is what you will see... In the front of the house you can see the large framed out windows. in the basement, you can see where the 2 sets of french doors will go. On the side of the house you can see a window and the large double doors (our main entrance).
This is part of the living room.

Brian is currently working in the dining room part of the great room.

This is another picture of the living room, on the left you can see where the sliding glass doors will go... it will eventually lead you out to a sunroom (an addition).

Dad C. cutting one of the logs. Every log is cut using a chainsaw.
Brian placing a log.

He is loving it!

Another view from the driveway.

View from opposite side of the house. You can see our current "main" entrance to the house... yes, that ladder. I am becoming less and less afraid each time I climb it. It was a little scary watching the children climb up... even more scary watching Brian carry them down.

More

I just love how the logs pass each other on the corners.

Main entrance
Brian needs to put many long screws into each log as it is placed.

Tonight I am grateful for...

Clara~ who will one day be running the country (in some way)
Bryce~ whose intelligence baffles me
My mom~ whose strength and wisdom made me the person I am
My sister~ my inspiration... how does she do it??? Mom, excellent aunt
Strength of my students and their families- over the years, I have had numerous "sad" stories that have passed through my doors, I was reminded of one today when my coworker screened his sister... what stories these 5 year olds have to tell, what they have endured already in their lives or have to endure each day. I am grateful for their strength and happiness.

Find Your Style

Find Your Style
I love this show on HGTV! Well, I decided to do a Scrapbook Version of this show! How many of us are trying to figure out what "style" we are when creating our pages? I know I vary my styles depending on what I am working on!

Here are some reasons why you should take this class...
1. Learn what style you are drawn to
2. Learn what style you automatically create in your pages
3. Learn some new styles that you can incorporate into your current style
4. Have fun while creating 8 scrapbook pages

So, what style are you?
1. Clean lines
2. Graphic
3. Eclectic
4. Classic
5. Old World Charm
6. Shabby
7. Hip and Trendy
8. Anything Goes
~ Journalistic

I will take you on a journey through the 8 styles above and help you discover your style. The class will be held on Friday, June 12th at 6:30-8. We won't be having the normal "Quick Creations" class during June. The cost of the class is $20. (It will be a deal for 8 scrapbook pages) I will let you know what size pictures to bring if you are interested in adding pictures that night and walking away with finished products!

Log on to Scrapbooking's Inn website and sign up! There is a link on the right side of my blog.Leave a comment and tell me what style you think you are...Please bring one of your favorite layouts that you have created recently that represents your style. We will take a look at the layout to see what style we think you are. Remember, one style is not better than another... there are no scrapbooking rules or police.... Get scrappin and I will see you in class!

They all came to help!

Remember a post from the day the house began being built... who wears flip flops to the property... well, we found 2 more people... my sister and Jonathan! Flip flops don't go very well with mud. They both lost their shoes.Jonathan gave me my Mother's Day gift. I am his "godmother". They drove down just to give me my present... Can you tell that I love it???

Catherine got pictures of the kids taken last weekend when she was babysitting them for us. Isn't it a beautiful picture. I can't wait to see all of the pictures.
The kids loved it too! Then we all headed over to my school's playground to play for a little while before heading home.

Layouts from my Scrappin Weekend

Scrapbook Layouts from this weekend...
I went scrapping with Amy K and Terry this weekend, as well as my new BFF Jill. (Funny story!) Anyway, I got a lot done this weekend. It has been a very long time since I have been able to knock out tons of layouts. Everytime I go to scrap, I only get a few things done. However, I was able to do over 50 layouts this weekend. I haven't officially counted but I know it is a lot.
Here is a layout from when I drove the jeep racer.
Here is my layout for Easter morning.
