April SSI birthday blog hop

Thanks for joining us for the April Birthday, Baby, Kids Blog Hop! As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show love on every blog!

I chose to use our newest Photopolymer Stamp Set- Sweetie Pie and Sweetie Pie Frames!
They make the most adorable kids cards!!!

My Sweetie Pie daughter will enjoy receiving this card!
Featuring Sweetie Pie stamps, Butterfly punch, Coastal Cabana ribbon and In Color buttons.

Next, here is a "I am so sorry" card
for those moments when you want to let a child know you are empathetic
for what is going on in their life.
Did they not do so well on a test, have a fight with a friend, loose a pet...
this card would be perfect!

Featuring: Sweetie Pie and Sweetie Pie Frames
Watercolor designer series paper, Washi tape, and rhinestones
Finally, I created this card using all the frames and a few adorable faces!

Twirling Twine into Butterflies

At Practical Scrappers today, we are showing you Ten things to do with Twine.

Mine is how to create these adorable butterflies!

1. wrap twine around 2-3 fingers depending on how big you want your butterflies.
I only wrapped it around 2.
2. Then tie the twine together at the ends.
3. Take a coordinating twine to wrap around the center.
4. Tie it in a double knot allowing the twine to get close between your fingers.
5. Slide off fingers and you have a butterfly!

Hope you enjoy making these adorable butterflies like I did!

Supplies:
Very Vanilla and Coastal Cabana Cardstock
Twine: Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit and Coastal Cabana
Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper
Apothecary framelets
2 1/2" circle punch
Yippee-Skippee stamp set

Spring-a-licious Flowers!!!

Bring on the flowers for Spring!!!

Thank you so much for joining us for our March Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Temperatures are on the rise and there is just one short week until the official first day of Spring!  We are all so ready to put away our snowflakes and break out the flowers in our craft rooms!  Stampin' Up! has so many options for Spring-time flowers and we are showing you just a few of those today!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number  11 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop –  Kim. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I am currently in love with Stippled Blossoms and Hip Notes!!!
Also, the Fresh Prints Designer series card pack!!!
Love Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Real Red together!!!
It is not a color palette I would have chosen on my own.
My 3D project I created today!
I used the new scalloped tag topper punch to create this little gift package!

First cut paper to 5" x 2"
Punch longest 2 ends in scalloped tag topper punch.
Score 2" in from each side.
I put 2 washi tapes inside the gift package!
You could add candy inside instead!

Up next... Tonya

Drip Dry Watercolor Technique!!!

Do you love to try new techniques?
I do!!!

Here is a new one to me...
I am sharing it on the SSI blog today as well!

Drip Dry Watercolor technique

Supplies you need:
watercolor paper
aquapainter
re-inkers
paper towel and area where water can land so that it doesn't hurt your work space
(I used a glass cutting mat)

Step 1:

Get supplies ready
put reinker in something you can easily clean
I used the lid of an embellishment case

Step 2
Wet water color paper slightly with clean aqua painter.

Step 3
Pick up color and drip vertically down the watercolor paper

Step 4
Let the watercolor paper dry for 10-15 minutes

Step 5
Embellish, stamp, add to card front!

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial!

Here was my inspiration...
We had an ice dam that leaked through our log walls...
this was my way of turning my lemons into lemonade!

Here is each card...

Thanks for stopping by...
hope you try out this technique!!!
