Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US.
I hope you are enjoying yourself and thanking our soldiers for everything that do for us regularly!

My sister and Jonathan came down to go shopping.  We went for lunch at Friendly's and had yummy sundaes.  Can you tell Bryce was so happy to see her?
I have been working on the door for the basement, sanding and scrapping it to prepare to paint it!
I am going to go back over today to continue working on it.
Finally, our septic system is being worked on. Here is a picture of our trenches that have been dug for it...
each trench is 90 feet long, by only digging two long ones versus 3 small ones, we were able to save some trees.  Unfortunately we had to have 4 taken down earlier this week.

You still have a little over an hour to post your layouts for Scrap That Poetry.
I will be back tonight with a winner and will be posting the new challenge tomorrow.
I will also be posting the Retiring list of Stampin up Products tomorrow...
See you then!
Happy Memorial Day

The next challenge that I did is Sketchy thursday's sketch

Our song for this week at Scrapping the Music is Fragile!

I chose to use the word "Star" for my layout.  Bryce was a star at his Hat Parade at school.
He was so handsome and confident when speaking.
He is "My Star!"
Sorry, I have been so MIA lately.... with only a little over 30 days to get our occupancy permit things around here are really crazy!

Just a reminder, you have until May 31st to place an order to earn Free Brads!  Click on my link on the right to see what stamp sets qualify you for free brads!
I used "All a Flutter" to create this tag.
Tonight, Jenn had a Stampin Up Workshop and earned lots of free stamps.
Here is one of the cards that we created tonight.
The next card we created uses Tropical Party for this next card...

I Cased both of the cards above.. please leave me a comment if you are the original creator of these beautiful cards, so I can give you credit.  I hope you like my take on your cards!
My Door prizes tonight are my Card/Layout Candy!
Finally, I'd like to share a similar creation that I made for my hostess...
This one is mine, but the one that I made for her is extremely similar.

Have fun placing your orders... lots of fun stamp sets and accessories!
Thanks for stopping by and looking!

The siding was put on the dormer this weekend.
The back of the house was being graded so that it is ready for the well this week.
Brian painted the tub this weekend.  It looks beautiful!
The upper windows arrived this past week, they will be put in on Tuesday.
Brian put on the deck for the front porch this weekend.
The last of the trees that needed to be taken down, were taken down this
morning to make room for the septic.
Bryce and pop pop working.
My project- I decided to take on painting the main door to the basement.
I learned how to use a belt sander today.

Looking forward to finishing this project- will be painting it the same color as the tub.
