My 2014 Crafty Resolution... Find Balance!

My crafty resolution for 2014 is to find balance! Each year, I choose a word for the year!  This year, 2014, my word is "Balance."  Throughout the year, I plan to find balance in my life.  How does this relate to my crafty resolution?  Well, I plan to balance my time spent on business versus fun in crafting!  I plan to balance the time spent cleaning and organizing with actually being crafty!  You will see me playing with my layouts of cards this year with the theme of balance.  I can't wait to hear what your resolution is! Follow my journey this year to find balance at my blog.  Happy New Year!

December Daily

Do you know what a December Daily is?
I love creating these quick and fun albums that keep track of all of our December activities!
Ali Edwards started creating these years ago!
I have made many over the years!
Here is the beginning of mine...
I will be adding photos over the weekend!
Best part, the album will be done when Christmas is done!
No waiting to scrapbook for months later!!!

Check out my post at the SSI blog where I am the featured designer today!

Here is my Top 5 things that Bring Me Joy!

For the 1st time, I created a Christmas Manifesto listing my purpose for my December Daily this year!

Inside pages created with the divided page protectors and chipboard pages covered in Designer Series Paper.

Created tags for each day!

Christmas Card

I just love this stamp set!!!
I created this 6 hour card!!!
It took me so many hours to create the many layers of this card!
First, I heat embossed the Pointsetia in white embossing powder on vellum.
Then I hand cut each flower.
I then did the "stainglass window technique" where you use a blender pen and ink to paint color on the back of the vellum.
I think it turned out beautifully!
Hope you are inspired!
