May Swap

Challenge this month for my Stampin up "Love at First Stamp" meeting was to use Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.

I am in love with the new Tropical Party stamps and In a Word Stamps, you can view both by clicking on the Summer mini book on my right sidebar.

This is one of my all time favorite cards that I have made.  The photo isn't that wonderful, I prefer daylight but didn't have that option.

Scrap That Poetry, Sketchy Thursday, Scrap it Forward, Frosted Designs

I combined 4 challenges into 1!

I combined Scrap that Poetry, Sketchy Thursday, Scrap it Forward and Frosted Designs challenges to create this layout...

Title reads... Being a mom means...

"I've got children to tend

the clothes to mend

the floor to mop

the food to shop

then the chicken to fry

the baby to dry."

and to do it all with grace!

Scrap It Forward's challenge is to use the prompt "Being a mom means..."

Frosted Design's challenge is to use rainbow colors.

Scrap That Poetry's poem is Woman Work by Maya Angelou

I used some rub ons for all those traits of Brian.

Even though, yes, he is playing t-ball with the kids and it is kinda a silly picture... I fell in love with it.  It shows one side of Brian that I really love!

Wow, time really does fly!  I cannot believe that today was the day that Bryce went to Kindergarten screening.  Brian brought Bryce to school.  He did such a fabulous job working with Mrs. Gercie.  He was totally himself... quiet, reserved, but showed what he knew!  Wow, I can't believe how he will be at my school next year.

It is hard to believe that time passes so quickly and it is time to have new designers join us for June through September! We will have some of our current designers staying on with us! If you are interested in becoming a designer or guest designer for Scrap That Poetry, here are all the details!
~
Please send me...
~ 2 of your favorite layouts exemplifying your scrapbook style (preferably recent- can be posted on your blog or gallery)
~ tell me about yourself (who you are, what you love to do, why you would like to join our challenge blog, any other design teams your design for) If you are on a design team, will you be able to take on another challenge?
~ A link to your blog or online gallery (you do not need one to apply)
~Your favorite poem and why
~The term will be for 4 months- June through September 2010
~Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
~Applications are open to everyone. International applicants are welcome!
~Previous Design team experience is not required.
I will be taking applications until May 15th.
I will announce the Design Team on May 17th!
Your first challenge will be emailed to you after you accept the position and due back to me by May 25th.
Layouts for each challenge are due on the 10th and 25th of the month.
You will be able to help in choosing the winner of each challenge.
Each designer should comment on each participants blogs or galleries.
This is a non profit blog.
Designers do not receive compensation for their work; however can add it to their resume!

Not me Monday

Not Me Monday

It defnitely was not me yesterday wishing that everyone was feeling better,

so that I could have a Happy Mother's Day!  I don't feel a bit gyped!

I definitely got lots of Mother's Day Cards and felt totally appreciated!

Yep, it was fantastic!

I do not feel at all jealous of all the other mom's out there that had healthy, happy kids yesterday! 

I didn't feel at all bad tonight throwing on a movie so that I could have just a few minutes peace. 

Nope, not me.

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you all are having a fabulous Mother's Day!  I will live vicariously through you!  I am not feeling well and neither are my kids... so our house is a little miserable today.  Lunch plans for today have been postponed until we all feel better.

I am so excited to be cropping with these ladies today again!

This time it is my Stampin up ladies that are hosting the crop!

We are raising money for our Relay for Life team!

Bryce you are just "AMAZING!"  You asked Daddy to take your training wheels off your bike because you saw Ian riding his not long ago.  Daddy only held on a little at the beginning and you just took off!  You are such an amazing little kid who is so determined!
