"The beautiful thing about learning is that no once can take it away from you." B.B. KingI have joined the design team at Happy Inspirational Scrapping (HIS). Twice a month there are quotes given for you to find inspiration in and scrapbook.
The pictures are from Bryce's Screening in May. He worked with Mrs. Gercie and demonstrated all the things he has learned in the past few years. He was so excited to get to come to Mommy's big school. I can't believe he is in kindergarten!

Sketchy Thursday
Yeah, I had time to play along with Sketchy Thursday this weekend...
Love the sketch!
Technique #3
Heat Emboss Resist
We used Versamark ink and stamped the image
Then we put embossing powder on the image and heat it with a heat gun
We used the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz and sprayed the top note area
Wipe with a tissue to expose the embossed area!
I also taught everyone how to do this fun ribbon technique!

Technique card #2
Reverse emboss resist
We covered the embossing template in ink, then placed the paper in the embossing tray and ran it through the Big Shot... I love the suede look that this technique has using the Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla paper.
We used the Notably Ornate Stamp set

Technique card #1
We had our 1st technique card class last night and did I have a blast with these ladies.
I taught them numerous things to do with embossing...
Here is the 1st card, I Case'd it from Susan in my Love at First Stamp group.
After embossing the grey paper, we sprayed it with smooch spritz to add a little bling!
I also used the distressing kit to add some aged effect.

Technique Club
Technique Club
I am so excited to announce my latest club that is beginning on Thursday, Sept 9th.
I have a group of ladies that will be meeting every other month on the 1st Thursday of the month to learn techniques!
Benefits of this club....
They learn the best techniques and create fabulous creations while learning them!
No charge for the class...
each member spends a minimum of $40 (before S&H) and they make at least 3 projects while learning at least 3 techniques and take home a "technique tile" on a ring.
In the photo above, you can see my technique tiles... they are smaller versions of the card, that focus on the techniques learned. On the back of the technique tiles are the directions on what we did in the technique.
Our first meeting, is focusing on embossing and everything you can do with embossing!
Email me at happy2scrap4life@hotmail.com if you are interested in joining.
If we have 2 more people join the club, the minimum purchase amount will go down to $30 a meeting!
(The frame is not included in the club... it is being used to display my technique tiles!)
