Scrapping the Music #105

Friends ForeverI have had such a wonderful time being September's Guest Designer at Scrapping the Music.
I chose the lyrics "Will the memories fade?" I changed it from "these" to "the" to fit my title.
My kids love each other. They are each other's best friends. I hope this never ends; however I hope my memories of them being this way never end!
Thank you for visiting me and I hope you continue to check back!
Whoo hoo for Jessi for winning last week's challenge!!! I loved your layout!!!!

Thanksgiving Picnic

Thanksgiving PicnicWe headed up to see my family for our second family reunion of the year. We get together on Labor Day weekend as well as early fall for Thanksgiving/Christmas. It seemed a little earlier this year, but hey that means I get to see my family sooner.
I couldn't resist taking a picture on my sister's porch.
The kids were giving each other rides on their shoulders... it was really funny to watch.
Matthew was having a blast with the kids and they loved it just as much!
Cousins
Deidre was giving photography lessons to Clara!
Smile
I try to always get a picture with my mom and grandma everytime we get together...
We had fun in the cold.
This morning we played scrabble with the kids!
Their attention span lasted about 3 turns each.
I am grateful for...
time with my family this weekend
playing games with mom last night
tea
scrabble
yahtzee
watching the Penn State game with my mom (even though they are not my favorite)
time with Grandma
watching the kids play this weekend
jammie time
progress on the property (even in the rain- yeah roof!)

What color are you?

All About Me Challenge #2- What Color are You?On the current blog hop, All About Me blog, they spiced up the current challenge for the hop! They changed it to scraplifting one of the design team member's layouts... so I scraplifted Melissa's layout. Since I already created a layout for this challenge, I decided to do a different color. Green is my absolute favorite, but I had hopes that when I took the color quizzes online, I would be a different color... so I took many quizzes, the first quiz came up green... which made me laugh. I really am green... but I thought if I tried a few, I would find another color. Well, I did at least 4 more quizzes and I came up blue or blue violet the most. So, I wrote in my journaling what it told me about myself... which I found to be true. Journaling reads: What color am I? Well, after taking numerous online quizzes I found out that I am blue. Blue people are calm. With so much emotion in them, they can have tears of happiness, sadness, anger or frustration very easily! I am a blue person!
Here is my other entry...
You will want to hop onto this blog hop... it is open until October 1st. I have found numerous challenge sites due to hopping tonight. Here is the first place to hop too.
Have fun and thanks for leaving me some love!

Thanks Beth...

What Color am I?

What Color am I? Challenge #2 at All About Me I love the color green...
Journaling reads: My absolute favorite color is green. The color green just makes me happy. I love to wear green, my jeep is green, my favorite purse is green, and my new scrapbook studio will be painted green. My go to color for all my scrapbook pages is green with a touch of brown. I am also beginning to call myself a "green" person. I am trying to conserve as much as possible. I am building a "green" log cabin by conserving, recycling and reusing. I {heart} green!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout... glimmer mist, ink, and thickers... oh my!
Thanks for looking!

I created a layout for challenge #1 {If I live to be 100...} see it here.

If I live to be 100

If I live to be 100...I found a new challenge blog... All About Me Challenge blog
Some people think it is selfish to scrapbook about themselves; however, why do we scrapbook, to leave our legacy on to the next generation. Why wouldn't you scrapbook about yourself? So, here is the 1st challenge...

Thanks for looking!

These are a few of my favorite things...

These are a Few of my Favorite things... favorite roomsWell, since our house is still being built, I don't really have a favorite room yet...
so I chose what I do have which is our outdoor room- our woods
Journaling reads: My current favorite room is my woods... we don't have any rooms completed yet. However, I predict our great room, the loft and my scrap studio will be my favorite. Happiness is watching progress.

Thanks for looking!

Scrapping the Music #104

Shania Twain's "Up"This is one of my favorite pictures right now and when I saw these lyrics, "have a laugh" jumped out for me.
My sister took this picture of my nephew Jonathan and I at our family reunion on labor day.

I have been waiting to use these really cute trees that I won off of Patty's blog awhile ago. She sells similar things in her etsy shop! Check it out! I thought that they would work perfectly with my red sweater. I love the Jillibean sprout and alphabeans as well! I did some glimmer mist around a chipboard bird which is emphasized with the white swiss dot cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by!
