Cabin update

Happy Labor DayToday, Brian and his dad have been very busy putting in my french doors for my studio, as well as the garage door. After dinner, they plan on putting in the french doors for the guest room.
All the window and door frames will be painted the same color.
The steps were finished earlier this week. This was the kids and my first time seeing them completed and walking up them. It is so nice that they can be independent and safe.
View from 1st floor looking down. These are just temporary steps while construction is being completed, then the real risers will be put on.
I don't remember if I posted a picture of the sliding glass door on the main floor that was put in last week.
Finally, here is a picture of the garage door.

Guest Designer

Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day
Scrapping the Music #102
I am September's Guest Designer at Scrapping the Music
Here is my layout
I chose the lyrics "seven years has gone so fast"
On August 3rd, we celebrated our 7th anniversary.
I used Technique Tuesday's technique tiles, clear stamps and ink. I also used Rusty Pickle rub ons, Hambly screen prints and Tattered Angels glimmer mist on the layout.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my layout.
I am so excited and honored to be a guest designer this month and can't wait to share my other layouts!
Stop by tomorrow to see pictures from the wedding this weekend and my family reunion.

Scrapping the Music Challenge #101

Mr. Blue Sky"I'll Remember You This Way"
Tomorrow, Clara will be the flower girl in a family wedding. When she put the dress on... she floated, spun, was delicate, knew just what to do in the dress.
I want to always remember how much fun she had just being a girl dressing up and not caring what the world thought. I hope she always remembers to do this as she grows up as well.
Here expression was just so delicate and natural. I can't wait to see her tomorrow!
Thanks for looking at my entry and leaving a comment!
