House update.... we're done... well mostly

House update

It has been a very long few days... after some very long weeks...
let's be honest... a long few years!!!
But, our house is done!
I came home early from visiting my family to help finish.
My mom kept the kids for an extra night to help out!
It all came down to everyone pulling together to help and Brian and I really appreciate it.
Here are some pictures... well, a lot of pictures... but man I really want to show you what we did the past few days... so sit back, it is a long post.

So as you can tell... I am calling it done... it still isn't complete!!
However, it is done enough for inspection and to move in.
Thanks for stopping by the Cozy Cabin!

Scrapping the Music

"Hand in my Pocket"
Fine
"I'm broke but I'm happy,
I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed,
I'm tired but I'm working.
I'm here but I'm really gone.
I'm free but I'm focused,
I'm sad but I'm happy.
What it all comes down to is that everything is gonna be fine, fine, fine!"

I really am fine!!! How completely appropriate!
My word for this year is perseverence and wow.... has it helped me!
We will be just fine!

House update...
We are just days from our inspection...
which means we are days away from being able to move in...
which means we are days away from being more than Fine!

Grass is growing!!!
railings

temporary kitchen cabinets- they will go into my scrapbook room when our regular cabinets are made for us!

more railings
light switches-

We are more than fine!!!

Technique #4

This is a picture of the card I made with Gail... love this technique that my group now calls the "Easter Egg" technique!  Thanks Gail for sharing your talent with me!

We changed the ribbon on the card to pick up the Old Olive that we used for the stem... here is a picture of our card that we created.

Crayon Resist Technique

Emboss paper with embossing folder
Open, but do not move paper off embossing folder
Rub with white crayon (Easter egg technique)
Then use a sponge, mist, paint to cover the paper
Wipe with a tissue to reveal the resisted area!

I loved Gail's color combo of Concord Crush and Marina Mist!

Happy Inspirational Scrapping

Happy Inspirational Scrapping
"Oh, Beautiful Rainbow"
Created this layout for Happy Inspirational Scrapping's challenge-

"O beautiful rainbow;--all woven of light! There's not in thy tissue one shadow of night; Heaven surely is open when thou dost appear. And, bending thee above, the angels draw near, And sing,--"The rainbow! the rainbow! The smile of God is here."
