What is a Bully?
Definition of a bully- A person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people (well I am younger, but not weaker). Usually girls tend to bully as a group through social exclusion and the spreading of rumors (this is what she has been doing to me for about a year). Girls who would never bully individually will often take part in group bullying activities. (bingo)
Why do I blog about bullies? Well because I have one- at 31 years old, I have a bully. The difference this time is I am older, wiser and know not to let the bully hurt me. I know that words are only words and that a bully tries to make themselves feel better by putting others down. They don't care who they hurt on their way! Unfortunately my bully is trying to hurt my kids as well. She has spoken horribly about them.
Funny thing, in knowing The Secret, I know that she is only bringing ill words onto herself. I feel bad for this person. I know she must have poor self-esteem. I have watched her bully others. Funny thing, she was bullied as a teen. Maybe children who are bullied feel that they must bully others.
I am trying hard to figure out why she feels threatened by me, since I have only shown love, support and caring towards her and her adventures.
Today I am grateful for...
my husband (who has been bullied as well)
my children (I wish they never have to go through this)
my family (who are always there)
my mother in law and father in law
knowing that I am strong and can handle this
great weather for our house to be worked on
being a guest designer at STM
creating my new challenge blog
teaching a wonderful class
time to put all my Stampin up stamps together so I can use them
my new products from Stampin up
self worth
self confidence
knowing that God truly knows what type of people we are and knowing he appreciates who I am and what I do on a daily basis

Last call for my blog candy

We are the World
Scrapping the Music Challenge this week is: We are the World
I love this song and have since it debuted. I think it is a great tribute to Michael Jackson.
I love his music and truly enjoyed working on this challenge.
"Love is all we need"
I decided to do 2 layouts for this song and do two different approaches to the layouts. The one above exemplifies my love for my family and I truly believe that love is all we need. Possessions are not as important as the love of one's family. The layout below is a tribute to a way of thinking. In building our house "green" we are conscious of what materials we are choosing to use during construction.
In my classroom, we are consiously recycling and repurposing items.

Few of My Favorite things challenge

Well, I just love fondue! I love all types... but especially cheese!
For our anniversary, Brian and I went to the Melting Pot. It was simply amazing. A new Melting Pot just opened in our area and can't wait to go!

Sneak peek at my new class
Sneak Peek @ my next class
My next class is called "Embracing Your Inner White Space" In the class, you will be learning numerous techniques while learning how to utilize white space on your layouts. "White space" doesn't need to be white, it is the area on a layout that doesn't have anything on it. We don't always need to fill up an entire page, less sometimes says more!
In the class, we will be making 6 one page layouts. Above you can see a sneak peek of each of the layouts as well as some of the techniques.

1st Day of Preschool
1st Day of Preschool was Thursday
Clara has been waiting a year for this day to come! She has spoken about it, dreamed about it, and now it is reality. She is 3 years old and ready for school! She was so excited, she got dressed in the outfit that Pappy and She She gave her for her birthday. She got herself ready and put that backpack on and was out the door.
Bryce was excited to begin the year as well. He was thrilled that Clara got to stay with him at school.

Off they go! Grammy, Daddy and I brought them to school for their 1st day.

Cabin update
Happy Labor Day
Today, Brian and his dad have been very busy putting in my french doors for my studio, as well as the garage door. After dinner, they plan on putting in the french doors for the guest room.
All the window and door frames will be painted the same color.
The steps were finished earlier this week. This was the kids and my first time seeing them completed and walking up them. It is so nice that they can be independent and safe.
View from 1st floor looking down. These are just temporary steps while construction is being completed, then the real risers will be put on.
I don't remember if I posted a picture of the sliding glass door on the main floor that was put in last week.
Finally, here is a picture of the garage door.
