Welcome to the 1st Halloween Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Tonya's blog! Here is the beginning of the hop if you are just joining us. You will want to start at Sarabeth's blog! When I think about Halloween, the first thing I think of is candy! My favorite candy is Reese's Peanut Butter cups, yum!
Your first way to get entries into my blog candy giveaway is to tell me your favorite candy (1 entry), link a layout or project that uses candy in it for (3 entries).
In preparing for Halloween, we always visit the pumpkin patch. Here is a home decor item that I created and haven't posted yet. I took a cork board tile and covered it in cloth. Then I added ribbon and embellishements and have a reuseable home decor item that can change with the holidays.
Next I think of decorations! Since I am currently living with my in-laws I can't show you my decorations, but here are some of theirs! For another entry into the drawing link a picture of a decoration around your house to the comment section of this post. (2 entries)
Finally, I think of costumes when it comes to Halloween! Create a layout showing off some favorite Halloween costumes! (3 entries)

Next challenge is for Practical Scrapper's challenge this week to use your punches. I used 2 border punches to create this card for Halloween. I love border punches.
Last challenge is for Design Dollies and Practical Scrappers (again for punches- punch is used to create window on door). The Design Dollies challenge was to try a monochromatic brown card (I needed the little punch of orange) and to use stripes.
Update on the cabin: the roof on the porch is almost done, the double front doors are hung!
The rules are this: I need to pass this on to five people (I can send it on to way more than that!) Post on their blog that I gave them this award, and then I need to answer a list of questions in one word. So, I am passing this award onto (in no particular order...) Julie T-W, Jessi, Tonia, Kim T., and Diana.

On Friday, the Halloween Blog Hop begins... I am getting ready to post! I have a challenge and many ways for you to win chances for another amazing blog candy... check back in during the hop. The hop begins at Sarabeth's blog.
I am beginning my December Daily Album this weekend. I will post it next week!
Sorry, that was such a long post... I have even more to share but will do it another time!
Tonight, I am grateful for you!
Stop on over and check out the online Crop-toberfest that is going on. Lots of fun games and challenges!

Scrappy Do sent me this goody bag of scrapbook supplies for winning one of her games during the online crop this month. Can't wait to create with this fun stuff... gotta love the Maya Road transparencies.
Also, Stacy (owner of Marks Paper Company) sent me my prize for winning her challenge on her blog. I received a complete set of one of her paper lines, covered buttons and 2 packs of pens. They are awesome! This paper is amazing and can't wait to start scrapping with it!
On Thursday, I got to join the kids at school to be a parent helper! Clara was chosen as the Star of the Day!!! She was so excited- all the kids stand up and they are given clues to who the star of the day is... 1st clue- a girl (boys sit down), has a brother, her brother is in our class (Bryce)... when she realized it, she jumped up and down and ran and gave me a huge hug... it was priceless. Her teacher is putting her special star around her neck. Some of her privileges include being 1st in line, choose your center, collecting patches and sit on special stool.
Here is Bryce leading us in a "follow me" game.
Clara collecting their patches!
My job during centers was to help each child do a crayon rubbing of an oval and turn it into a jack o' lantern, balloon or man.
Since our Halloween parade got cancelled, Grammy and I took advantage of a beautiful night to take pictures of the kids in their costumes, since trick or treating will be very dark for pictures.

Love this funny face...
I love this picture of the two of them!
Tonight I found out that I won the challenge over at Practical Scrappers! Check out their blog and forum, I am having a blast participating over there! They are going to have a really fun challenge posted this weekend that their design team worked on, can't wait to see.
