Lots of news to share- long post

First, I am excited to announce that I changed roles over at Challenge Masters!  I am running two challenges during the month, first is Technique which posts on the 1st Sunday of the Month and second is Scraplift which posts its challenges on the 3rd Sunday of the Month, so stop over this Sunday to see my 1st challenge!

Second, I was asked to be a guest designer at All About Me Challenge Blog.  I love that blog and its challenges and try to play along as much as possible.  I can't wait to join their team!

Third, I began a Facebook page for Scrap That Poetry.  I am still trying to figure out all the details, but I hope you search for it and become a fan!

Next, I placed my first Stampin Up order last night!  I am so excited to begin this adventure in my life!  I am looking forward to my first online order!  I will give a RAK away to my first order!

Next, progress is happening at the property.  Brian and his dad have gotten walls up in our bedroom and bathroom upstairs.  It looks so amazing!  I had a blast showing my coworkers our cabin yesterday!

Finally, one of my dear friends gave me a blog award, Kreativ Blogger award!  Thank you TJ, aka Tina!  I am so honored and blessed!  You are truly an inspiration in so many ways... I miss seeing you everyday, but through this new blogging world I feel like I still do!

So, the rules for accepting this award are:

1) Thank the person giving the award
2) Copy the award to your blog
3) Place a link to their blog
4) Name 7 things people don’t know about you
5) Nominate 7 bloggers
6) Place a link to those bloggers
7) Leave a comment letting those bloggers know about the award

And now... 7 things you may or may not know about me...
1. I love to teach!  You probably already know this one... but honestly I love to teach anything, everything!
I was a dance teacher for 9 years beginning in high school!  I taught dance at 3 different dance studios!  I taught scrapbooking at 2 different scrapbook stores for a few years.  I teach scrapbooking/stamping through workshops/classes and plan on having a studio in my new house to continue teaching there!  I have been a kindergarten teacher for the past 10 years!  I love teaching my children everything and anything!  I love to teach!

2. I have raced my husband's/father-in-law's Jeep Racer!

I even enjoyed it!  I didn't remember to shift in the 1st race and came in 2nd place to the overall winner!

3. As a little girl, I dreamed of being Miss America!  If you know me, I always strive for my goals/dreams!  As a teenager, I began the pageant circut.  I won many local titles including Miss Funfest, Miss Sunburst, and others.  In college, I decided to try for Miss America.  I went for the local title of Miss Central Pennsylvania and came in 1st runner up. I was able to go and participate in the Miss PA pageant; however I found out that I didn't like that circut very much due to the conflict in personalities... I truly wanted to help and teach others with this title and position. I definitely do not have a pageant personality, so I decided not to continue on in the pageant.  Even though I didn't reach that goal... I must say that I tried and really did my best!  Plus, it helped me realize how much I loved my husband (who at the time was my best friend).  He would drive me to practices weekly and helped in picking out all my costumes, outfits, and was just plain there for me!

4. Phobia of tomatoes- I have a phobia of tomatoes! Long, gross story, so I won't share!  Let's just say, I can't stand the smell, it makes me very sick/ill and I hope one day to get over it!  I usually say that I am allergic because it is just easier and people don't think you are totally crazy!  My worst nightmare would be to be sprayed by a skunk!!!

5. I love campfires!  This is something that I truly discovered while we lived in our camper 2 years ago when we began building our house.  Some of my absolute favorite meals have been cooked over a campfire!  We made the best lobster tail over the campfire.  Why campfires?  Well, the kitchen in the camper is tiny and it wasn't all that practical to warm up the inside of the camper during the summer... so we cooked over a campfire 5/7 nights a week!  I remember going for a walk with my dad and grandfather into the woods one winter... we took our dogs with us and we made a campfire to cook our dinner.  We threw potatos in the fire, cooked hot dogs and pepperoni over the fire!  It was so delicious... just the little things that I appreciate.  I remember it vividly and I think that is the only time I ever had a campfire before meeting my husband!

6. I love lists!!! I think that is why I have so many blog roll lists!  They keep me organized about who I want to visit regularly.  I have lists on my table by my bed for things to do at home... lists on my desk at school of upcoming things, etc.  Great gift for me... tablets for lists!  I feel a scrapbook page coming on!

7. I love my family!  I am sure everyone knows this one... but honestly I truly have a great one!  I am blessed for my immediate family, my husband, who truly is my favorite person in this entire world!  My children, they are wonderful little kids who act like twins.  They are each other's best friend, love to play together all the time and miss each other when not with one another!  Brian and I had them 17 months apart for a reason we wanted them to love each other from the start and not just because they are told they have too.  Each of us had a difficult time as kids with our siblings and we didn't want the same for our children.  Honestly, it worked! I am so blessed to have a wonderful mom who has supported every decision, hobby, interest I have ever wanted to try... taking me everywhere anytime needed... she truly is a role model!  My sister, who is one of the strongest women I know and am blessed to have her as my sister, even though as kids we didn't get along that well.  Our parent's divorce brought us together!  She is a strong, independent, single mom who can do it all!  She doesn't rely on others to support her... she works hard, is raising my nephew wonderfully and just is one of my favorite people.  Honestly, I am so lucky... wonderful in-laws, dad, grandparents, aunts, etc.

I could keep writing, but I am sure I put some to sleep... so I will move on to who I am nominating for this lovely award.  Tina, you would definitely be on my list of 7!
1. Buffy, aka, Happie Stamper- my new upline... I cannot thank you enough for inspiring me to take on this new adventure in my life.
2-12- Scrap That Poetry DT members- honestly, I cannot just choose a few of you and I am blessed to have you all on my DT... I love to visit all your blogs daily!

If you are still reading, thank you for listening to this long winded post!  I hope you take a moment to check out their blogs and see why I gave them this wonderful award!  Thanks again Tina, can't wait to begin reading Simple Abundance again!
