I created the Father's Day card below for Challenge Master's Impromtu challenge!

I CASE'd it from another SU demo- sorry, I didn't mark down the name!

The last 4 cards I created for my room moms and moms who help stuff my Wednesday envelopes all school year.  We have our volunteer breakfast on Wednesday and I made them for my class and myself to say thank you for everything they did for us all year.

My favorite color combo right now is chocolate chip, rose red and kraft/white.

Speaking of "I don't wanna miss a thing!" makes me think of wanting to watch everything that is being done on our house right now... so much work happening and I feel like I can't see it all.

The well truck arrived yesterday... the well will be dug tomorrow!

High hats are in the ceiling and working!!!

There are 5 but you can see them all at the same time.

The hookup for the chandeliers are also mounted.

Septic system is going in...

However... my favorite thing that is done is the stairs to the loft are DONE!!!

Yeah and beautiful!!!

My father in law and Brian designed them and they truly are a work of art!

The copper is just beautiful... the treds feel fabulous while you are climbing the stairs!

We have them covered currently so they don't get distroyed before we move in!

No more climbing the really scary ladder to the master suite!

I can't wait to show these off with out them being covered up!

Just imagine a banister with copper pipes down the sides...

Can you just picture a cute tall skinny Christmas tree on that landing this December?

I can!

The Boy Grew Older

I combined both Scrap That Poetry and Artastic's challenge for June 1st.

Scrap That Poetry's challenge is - The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein

I used the line "the boy grew older"

I also wanted to use a tree and Bryce to represent the characters from the poem.

I have a number 5 on Bryce's hand, since that is how old he is!

Artastic's challenge is

Perfumed Garden by John Coburn

Diva Demand for an extra 6 bonus points

1 x tree = 1pt

2 x different coloured birds = 2pts

3 x falling leaves = 3pts

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US.

I hope you are enjoying yourself and thanking our soldiers for everything that do for us regularly!

My sister and Jonathan came down to go shopping.  We went for lunch at Friendly's and had yummy sundaes.  Can you tell Bryce was so happy to see her?

I have been working on the door for the basement, sanding and scrapping it to prepare to paint it!

I am going to go back over today to continue working on it.

Finally, our septic system is being worked on. Here is a picture of our trenches that have been dug for it...

each trench is 90 feet long, by only digging two long ones versus 3 small ones, we were able to save some trees.  Unfortunately we had to have 4 taken down earlier this week.

Our song for this week at Scrapping the Music is Fragile!

I chose to use the word "Star" for my layout.  Bryce was a star at his Hat Parade at school.

He was so handsome and confident when speaking.

He is "My Star!"
