March 11- warning long post

We had our Superior Walls Foundation set in place today. They come already poured, insulated and ready for wiring! They are awesome!
We have the beginning of our home. We have walls! With the power of positive thinking and using “The Secret” to our advantage… we kept the rain off and got a heavy crane truck up our driveway to set the foundation. I cannot say more about the power of positive thinking. Everyone kept telling Brian that it was going to rain and be really bad today. Brian kept saying it wasn’t going to rain. It barely sprayed droplets today! It was one of the best personal days I have ever taken. I enjoyed sitting on “our side porch”- or what will be used to create it as well as the stump behind the house watching for hours the foundation being put in.

In the morning, I helped rake the stone for our footer. Once again, we had wonderful help! I am going to let the rest of the story be told in pictures… by 3 pm today, we had our foundation.

If you know me, you know I was in tears today. The feeling of relief came over my body. Everytime a wall was set into place, I teared up. I couldn’t hold it back… I tried to hide it, but Brian caught me everytime! They were definitely tears of joy!

Cheap, but great workers!!!

They are currently sitting in that window to their "playroom." They had a blast and didn't want to leave... they asked where the logs were... they loved finding out what is going where. Ex. they each stood below where their bedrooms are going to be.

The Best Birthday Present Ever...

The best birthday present ever... tears of joy!

Picture this... stepping out of your car and seeing a huge pile of stone, feeling the mud beneath your feet not being as soft as you remember it the day before... begin the trek up the driveway not knowing what you are about to see... the entire way, your heart is pounding, excitement is setting in, when you reach the crest, you see 3 men working as hard as they can be, when you take a few steps more you see a stone footprint of where your house will be placed in hours... jubilation fills your heart, tears fill your eyes, excitement fills your soul... this is what I was given for my birthday today! Within 10 minutes, 3 more men join the work... even though I was only able to rake a little bit of stone, I know there is plenty of work for me to do on this journey ahead! Then try to hide your tears from everyone working on the property and just trying to tell them how grateful you are for their help. Thank you to all the men who have helped us so far, even if it is just for a half hour and numerous others who are about to commence our construction of "The Campbell's Cozy Cabin!" Please take a moment if you may, to say a little prayer for all those who are helping us! I am grateful for you and thank God for you!

Twas the Night Before my Birthday...

Twas the Night Before my Birthday... when all through the house, not a person was stirring, not even a child. Clara was tucked up all snug in her bed, while visions of grandure danced in her head. Bryce was lying all tucked on the couch... watching Noggin... while fighting his fever quietly in the house.

The chaos has begun with building our house.... foundation will arrive on Wednesday! Stone for the footer and driveway are delivered tomorrow.

The best present in the world is having our house being worked on... Brian wished me a happy birthday tonight, because he won't see me tomorrow in preparing for our big day on Wednesday! I will post more tomorrow!

I am thankful for...
birthdays and how miraculous they are... (no wonder I love them so much)
froggy voices (they sound so cute on sick little boys)

Oh Lovely Mud- not

If you read the posts below you will see how much wonderful progress we were making. I say, were, because the property is currently sinking. Everytime "scoop" moved, all it did was sink into the "lovely mud." You need to compare yesterdays pictures posted below against these to see how frustrating it is. We are scheduled to have the foundation put in on Wednesday... please pray and have good thoughts for the mud to harden for us...

I forgot to post these... or maybe I chose not too... it was a bad day in our progress on the property. While Brian and his were taking down a tree that is in the way of the driveway... it fell onto 2 other trees which then fell onto the powerlines. Yes, I said powerlines... grrr...

Oh Lovely Mud... is the theme of today...

We came to visit Daddy and Pop Pop at the property. We all wore our mud boots.

Clara wanted to walk right through the really squishy stuff. Bryce and I stayed on the dryer mud. All the snow has melted and created all this "lovely mud."

March 6

Progress on the Property

We are so thankful for such beautiful weather... the warmth is melting the many inches of snow we got earlier this week.

Here is a picture looking up our driveway. It has been smoothed out, no more hills to climb... just smooth sailing.Here is a picture looking down the driveway.
Here is Brian's Dad moving "mountains"... trying to smooth out the dug area preparing for Wednesday. We have the foundation being put in.

Here is a picture of where the house will go. The Jeep is parked up in our "backyard". Where the Jeep is, is where we will exit from the front porch. In the back, we plan on adding a patio with a fire pit.

Brian is "tamping" the driveway. Here is where the tree's roots that took down the powerline last week. I don't think I posted those pictures yet... I better get on that. He dug out the stump and roots and is filling in the hole to make a smooth turn up the driveway.

Bryce loved the rock pile. The rocks will be used in the footers. He loved sliding down the pile as well as watch Daddy and Pop Pop work.

Kit sold out and great classes

What a great night after a bad day! I began my day really bad and if you know the Secret, it got worse because I focused on the bad. Well, my after school workshop went great and it turned my day around quickly. Then, I had my 2 new kits for sale today and one of them sold out tonight!!! My Jillibean, "Say what you want to say" kit sold out; however, I have another scallop kit with the beautiful Bobunny paper. Get it while it lasts... there are only 4 left. $10 each.

I loved all the people in my class and never laughed so much! Thanks for a great night. Here is a picture of the kit that is still for sale...

We went to TGI Fridays tonight to celebrate Brian's birthday. The kids were well behaved even though they were both extremely tired. Clara, really wants to learn how to go #2 on the potty, so we kept going to the bathroom over and over... even though she doesn't need to go. I am so proud of her efforts. She wore underwear all day and no accidents.

Bryce really was upset that we didn't have cake and presents for Brian to open tonight. He was really into the birthday thing! So, we put a candle in an ice cream sandwich and sang "Happy Birthday."

In the pocket is a letter written to my grandmother. I plan on giving her this layout when I see her next weekend. It tells her much of what I have always wanted to say.I created this layout for my mother telling her all the things that I wanted to say.

I plan on creating one for my husband and sister as well. Check out my post below to see the chipboard album that I created using this same theme for my children. I wrote them each a letter telling them everything that I wanted to say.
